(Dallas, TX) Say It Loud! Readers and Writers is inviting the general public to attend the kick off of Literary Nation Live a monthly literary arts activity to occur every first Saturday of the month. The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 1:00 to 230 p.m. CST at the African-American Museum located at 3526 Grand Avenue (Fair Park) Dallas, TX. The monthly activity is free and open to the public.
The inaugural event titled Sharing Your Vision and Celebrating Langston Hughes will give attendees the opportunity to share their 2020 vision boards and participate in a discussion about the literary legacy of Langston Hughes who was born on February 1, 1902.
Facilitated by nationally recognized literary consultant Patrick M. Oliver, Literary Nation Live first Saturday events and activities will offer literary enthusiasts an opportunity to share their current projects during 3 to 5 minute time periods. All projects must be submitted in advance for review to firstname.lastname@example.org. Projects with a historical and community focus, such as non-fiction manuscripts, journal entries, literary criticism, media articles, storytelling, visual arts and music; will be given priority. Children and youth are highly encouraged to attend and participate as presenters.
